PLAN FOR PLAY WEBSITE
Plan for Play is an Central Park Conservancy initiative to upgrade or replace all 21 playgrounds, some of them dating back to the Robert Moses era. After designing a limited edition large format marketing and planning document, it soon became apparent that an online version was needed so that the extensive design, planning and research could be made available to a larger audience. While maintaining a visual and structural connection to the print document presented significant challenges, working in an interactive platform created opportunities to present the material in a more compelling manner. The Map and Timeline utilized interactive pop up boxes, images were presented as slideshows, and specific playgrounds could be viewed as 360 degree virtual reality movies. This project was a joint collaboration with Union Design and Murphy Web Consulting.
